Keep in mind, cotton candy will dissolve when exposed to moisture of any kind. If you want cotton candy as a topping for a treat such as a frosted cake or ice cream, it must be placed on the item immediately before serving. Cakes and party favors must be kept in their closed containers until you are ready to serve. For best results, cotton candy should be stored in a cool, dark environment, but not refrigerated or frozen.
